FAQ's

Because we are a private service, our services are not covered by OHIP. Check with your Family doctor if they have dietitians in their practices; some dietitians are working in the public health care sector.

Yes! You will need to check your coverage prior to committing to ensure they cover registered dietitian services. You will be provided with an insurance receipt for reimbursement after the session is rendered.

We do not direct bill, but receipts will be given, which you can then submit to your insurance company.

It is not necessary to have a family doctor referral for private services. Services by registered dietitians are covered by many employee health benefits and health spending accounts. Our services are also tax-exempt and deductible.

We offer a 15-20 minute no-obligation discovery call to help you understand how our nutrition services can support your health goals. During this call, we’ll discuss your needs, outline the counseling process, review pricing and billing, address any insurance concerns, and answer any questions you may have. This is a great opportunity to see if we're the right fit before committing. Book your free consultation today.

Your initial nutrition session will be 60 minutes long and tailored to your specific needs. We will discuss your health history, lifestyle, nutrition habits, and any supplements you may be taking. The session will be filled with valuable information, so it’s best to be in a quiet space where you can focus and take notes.
Follow-up sessions are typically scheduled every 4 to 8 weeks, depending on your individual needs for support and accountability. These sessions are 30 minutes long and provide an opportunity to track progress, adjust your nutrition plan, and address any challenges.

Rather than giving you a strict meal plan to follow, we focus on helping you make sustainable, healthy changes to the foods you already enjoy. Meal plans often fail because they assume you’ll eat the same thing every day, never get bored, and that life won’t get in the way. Instead, we work with you to tweak your favorite meals, making them more balanced and nutritious—so changes feel natural and realistic. Our goal is to empower you with the skills to create your own healthy, satisfying meals that fit your lifestyle.

Yes, follow-up sessions have an expiry date and must be used within 12 months from the date of purchase. After this period, any unused sessions will expire and cannot be redeemed. All follow-up packages are non-refundable and non-transferable. However, a refund may be issued if a valid doctor’s note is provided.
